[Webinar] Understanding (and Applying) Agile Marketing in the Real World

Agile Marketing in the Real World

What does it really mean to practice agile marketing? The term is nauseatingly overused. How overused?

Well, as a professional (and certified) Agile marketing nerd, I have a Google Alert set up for the term “agile marketing.” It typically provides a solid stream of interesting content. But over the past few months of blindingly fast changes and adjustments, I’ve considered turning it off.

Why? Because it’s churning out a stream of false positives—with article after article commanding marketers to “be agile” as they navigate a world that’s practically unrecognizable from the one we began the year in. What exactly it means to “be agile” remains unclarified in most of these pieces. The implication is that we all should turn on a dime, respond rapidly to new scenarios, and generally change what we’re doing a lot.

More than ‘Faster to Flail’—Why Agile Marketing Process is Critical

Yes, we need agility and responsiveness, but we also need stable goals and focused effort. That’s a balance that doesn’t just magically show up; we have to pursue it with deliberate action by setting up a process that makes us truly agile, not just faster to flail.

That is the motivation for the new webinar, “Understanding (and Applying) Agile Marketing in the Real World,” sponsored by Treasure Data. The point of the webinar is to help you find that beautiful balance between responding quickly to events and making sure you move smartly and strategically.

Beyond Agile Hype: What You’ll Learn in this Agile Marketing Webinar

We’ll call out the big myths that stand in marketers’ path as we search for agility (including the myth that agile = speed). Most importantly, we’ll show you how to steer clear of some of the most frequent mistakes that make even the best marketing programs skid off the rails.

We’ll also walk through three simple tools: the backlog, visualized workflows, and work in progress limits, that allow us to begin taking advantage of the biggest agile wins as quickly as possible. Last, we’ll look at what comes next. How do you use the baby steps you’re taking now to launch you on the much longer journey toward full-fledged marketing agility?

If you’re eager to get started, check out this 80-minute Introduction to Agile marketing course (once $79, it’s now available for free because…Covid-19). It’ll give you a great foundation prior to the webinar or as a starting point for your future journey.
